In the present article I provide a new combination in the genus Cattleya to reclassify Hoffmannseggella marxiana, a species recently validated in Hoffmannseggella. I also provide the new combination Guarianthe hennisiana f. alba (Cogniaux & Gossens) Van den Berg for an overlooked interspecific taxon, and discuss the taxonomic status of Brassavola flagellaris.
